This was a tough event for our Girls as 2 teams dropped out of the event at short notice leaving us to play against a strong Notts Team in each round! Liz Lamyman, team manager noted the good fighting spirit of our Girls and the great performance of our captain Sophie who was often the last game in the hall to finish. Well done to our Team for a great effort - we came 3rd overall, and thank you to parents for supporting the Lincolnshire Teams.

The next event for the Under 11 Girls Team is the National Teams Championships which will be held in Manchester on 28th March - further details to follow.

Well done to our Under 9 Team players for their efforts. In Round 1 we beat Northants convincingly 8 - 4. In round 2 we lost narrowly to Notts B 5.5 - 6.5, although we could easily have secured the round with a little more care in the endgame positions of a few vital games.
Notts A beat us convincingly in the final Round. They had been coached to look for mating attacks around the castled king and our players were not looking carefully enough to see the mate coming. With a little more thought about this aspect of the game our youngsters could easily improve their results.
Well done to our Team for a great effort - we came 3rd overall, and thank you to parents for supporting the Lincolnshire Teams. The next event for the Under 9 Team is the National Teams Championships zonal which will be held in Nottingham on 14th March - further details to follow.
